L’Eroica began as an event inspired by classic cycling, to rediscover the authentic roots
of an extraordinary sport. Over the years, we have brought this vision and these values to the world,
creating new Eroica events and going even further than vintage, to reaffirm the taste for
healthy and fair competition even on modern bikes.

In 1997, in Gaiole in Chianti, 92 thrill seekers launched the first edition of L'Eroica, braving the dust of the Tuscan dirt roads on vintage bikes and wearing a rainbow of wool jerseys.
Since then, every year on the first Sunday in October, the magic of this timeless event is repeated, combining challenging routes, magnificent landscapes and unforgettable refreshments, involving thousands of passionate cyclists.

Race. Ride. Relax. The spirit of NOVA Eroica is encapsulated in these three words: a gravel race in pure Eroica style, created to enjoy all the magic of dirt roads even on modern bikes and with a touch of competition. NOVA relaunches the values of heroic cycling in the near future with a format that alternates between transfer sections and timed special stages.

L'Eroica was born in 1997 in Gaiole in Chianti, a small village in the province of Siena, where creator Giancarlo Brocci, together with 92 hunters of feelings and emotions - as he called them - started the first edition of a magical cycling event; an event combining challenging routes, magnificent landscapes and unforgettable refreshments in a unique way.
