The Eroica Germania is a non-competitive historical cycling event that leads along asphalt and gravel roads, i.e. non-asphalt roads.

You are taking part in Eroica Germania at your own risk. The organizer accepts no liability whatsoever.

A cycle ride in Germany naturally always involves a certain amount of red tape, so we would like to
draw your attention to the following points:

Registration

You can register via www.myeroica.cc and the age for registering is 16+.

The registration fee, irrespective of the amount paid, includes:

• RACE PACK with event gifts and souvenirs.
• RACE ENVELOPE with bib number and number to be attached to your bicycle, roadbook which will be stamped at checkpoints and Eroica Germania map with details of the routes, food stops, checkpoints and mechanical assistance.
• FOOD STOPS in varying numbers according to the length of the route chosen.

Bicycles, Clothing & Accessories

The Eroica Germania is an event dedicated to cyclists with vintage or historically inspired road-racing bicycles, clothing and accessories.

• The bicycle: must not have been manufactured later than 1987, it must have external brake cables, a gear shifter on the centre tube, basket-style pedals and a steel frame
• We recommend wearing authentic clothing & accessories, but it is not a disqualifying factor.

Foto & Video

• By registering, you agree to be photographed and filmed during Eroica Germania and to allow these photos and videos to be published.

The Tour

• German road traffic regulations must be observed within their area of application; no special privileges apply
• We recommend wearing a helmet. Last year’s winter storms caused some damage in the Rheingau; to repair this, some forest tracks have been gravelled to make them passable for large vehicles. In some places, this gravel makes cycling difficult.
• In some parts of the Rheingau, the grape harvest has already begun; please be mindful of this and do not disturb the harvest workers whilst they carry out their important work.

In the forest

• You must not leave the forest tracks.
• Use of the tracks is restricted to the track surface.
• You must not ride through the adjacent woodland
• The forest ecosystem must not be disturbed
• Consideration must be shown to other forest users
• It is forbidden to enter nature reserves, forest plantations, timber yards and facilities operated by the forestry or hunting authorities
  Mushrooms, twigs, flowers and herbs must not be collected or destroyed

Cancellation of participation

If you are unable to attend due to illness, please cancel at least 14 days before the event and provide a doctor’s certificate. In this case, a processing fee of 10 euros will apply. We will refund the remaining participation fees via the same payment method you used to pay.
