Join the spirit of Eroica Valkenburg 2025 on Friday, June 5, for the special Friday Ride.
A relaxed and social ride through the beautiful hills of South Limburg, perfect to enjoy the landscape, classic cycling atmosphere, and good company before the main event weekend begins. Whether you ride a vintage bike or a modern classic, the Friday Ride is all about passion for cycling, friendship, and la dolce vita on two wheels.

Vintage market
Discover the Vintage Market at Eroica Valkenburg 2025 on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6. A unique gathering of vintage cycling culture with classic bikes, retro clothing, collectibles, accessories, and artisan products. Meet passionate exhibitors and cycling enthusiasts while enjoying the authentic atmosphere of Eroica in the heart of South Limburg.

Start belongings pick up
You can pick up your start belongings on Friday 5 June or Saturday 4 June at the event location Cup & Vino (Theodoor Dorrenplein 10-12, 6301DW Valkenburg)

Start belongings
You receive a bib number, a frame number and a participant wristband to participate in the Eroica Valkenburg ride. Pay attention; it is mandatory to wear the back number, frame number and participant wristband. Only with these items you can use the facilities along the route. With safety pins you can attach your back number. The frame number needs to be attached to the upper tube of your frame. You will receive safety pins and other attachment material from the organization. You will also receive a unique Eroica Valkenburg souvenir!

Below you can find the start times of all the distances. The start at Cup & VIno (Theodoor Dorrenplein 10-12, 6301DW Valkenburg) is at the same place as the finish.

When you change your distance, please inform the organization so that we are aware of the correct distance you are riding for safety reasons.

Save this alarm number in your phone as well. In case of no contact with this number, call the national emergency number 112 immediately!

In addition to cycling galore, you'll be able to enjoy a world of culture, music, food and drink at the finish area, the rest stops and along the way. There will be a wide range of exciting things to explore, from performances by local groups and brass bands to delicious regional dishes from the local cuisine. As you would expect, there will be a range of stalls selling retro clothes at the start and finish locations. Many cycling heroes from the past will be putting in an appearance to regale participants and visitors with heroic anecdotes from their careers. And of course, they will be bringing their World Championships, Tour or Olympic bicycles and winner's jerseys along with them – a real treat for all cycling enthusiasts.
The food and drink available during Eroica Limburg will be fully in keeping with the spirit of the event, with local products and regional specialities being served from the nostalgic food trucks.
In short: in the last weekend of June, the global cycling hub of Valkenburg is the place to be! There will be a range of different live acts in Valkenburg every day throughout the event. Enjoy the ambiance and music and welcome the heroes who rode their Eroica Limburg that afternoon! Oh, and one more thing: all the activities at the start and finish area can be attended free of charge. Eroica Limburg inspires, and is sure to put a smile on your face.
Valkenburg has excellent transport links by car, train or bicycle(!). It's Limburg's number-one tourist hotspot, so parking and accommodation are not a problem. You will find plenty of choice for places to stay on the South Limburg Tourist Office website, www.zuidlimburg.nl. Would you like to go camping? The first weekend of July would be an excellent time to rough it in the outdoors. Of course, we're counting on good weather too... Both South Limburg and the Voer region of Flanders have a wide range of campsites where you can pitch a tent or park your camper van.
