1. Is the gravel suitable for beginners, or is it very technical?
Most gravel sections are classic white roads, typical of Istria.
While there are some more technical stretches, especially on the longer routes, the short route is designed to be accessible and suitable for riders with less experience.
2. How much of the route is asphalt and how much is gravel?
NOVA Eroica Istria routes are designed to feature a high percentage of white gravel roads, combined with limited asphalt sections needed for connectivity and safety.
3. Will participants on the short route receive a medal or an arrival prize?
Yes. All riders who complete the short route will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
4. What is the difference between the race pack and the technical envelope?
The race pack includes gifts and commemorative items related to the event.
The technical envelope contains:
• A personalised race number (for registrations completed by April 19, 2026, at 23:59)
• A bike number
• The official EROICA map with route and refreshment details
• A meal voucher
5. Are the race pack and technical envelope collected together?

6. Will there be an official photographer at the finish line?
Yes. An official event photographer will be present. The event photo gallery will be made available to participants after the event. Please note that personalised photos cannot be guaranteed.
7. Will the routes change compared to the published information?
The long and medium routes may undergo minor adjustments, which will be communicated in the coming weeks. The short route (60 km – Malvasia Route) will feature more noticeable changes and will be easier and even more scenic compared to the first edition.

9. Are there refreshment points on the short route?
Yes, of course.
On the short route (60 km – Malvasia Route), riders will find:
• One refreshment point in Grožnjan – Grisignana
• One refreshment point in Brtonigla – Verteneglio
• A final Pasta Party at the finish in Novigrad – Cittanova
