The heritage of L’Eroica consists of a mosaic of 17 wonderful municipalities that, since 1997, have provided the backdrop for the passion of thousands of cyclists. These territories are crossed by two permanent routes (L’Eroica and Eroica Montalcino), which wind for a total of 290 kilometers through the Tuscan landscape.

Human Heritage as a driver for protection

The “Adotta un chilometro” project places the human heritage of this geography at its center. Citizens, cyclists, and local associations from the 17 municipalities become the guardians of the beauty we traverse:

• Handover: Local communities take direct responsibility for the kilometers that cross their respective municipalities.
• Concrete action: Volunteers take care of roadside cleaning, removing waste and preserving the integrity of the route.
• Civic example: This initiative transforms participants into key actors in the respect and protection of their own environment.
