To celebrate the tenth anniversary of NOVA Eroica Buonconvento, the festival will be more than just a sporting challenge; it will be a stage for the younger generations. Students from the Istituto Comprensivo "Insieme" of Buonconvento will take the field as true "visual storytellers," transforming the values of sustainability and cycling into art.

Thanks to the established collaboration between the school and Eroica Italia, students will participate in a Narrative Photography Workshop, serving as the official eyes of the event to document slow mobility and sporting inclusion through their lenses.

Activity program: the traveling newsroom

The heart of the project will be the Kids Village in Piazza Gramsci, where students will operate as a professional photographic newsroom.

Friday, April 10th | Operational Briefing

• 4:00 PM: Training on the composition of "Eroic photography." Students will receive the Eroica Staff Kit, officially joining the operational team to learn how to capture the perfect moment amidst dust, smiles, and effort.

Saturday, April 11th | The Set and the Ride

• 9:00 AM (Piazza Gramsci): Opening of the photographic set to document youth cycling activities and the energy of the next generation of cyclists.
• 10:00 AM: Ride with snacks. A highlight of integrated sport. Students will depart from Piazza Gramsci, using their lenses to capture views of the environment and nature, representing the beauty of effort and the spirit of the achievement.

From the shot to the exhibition: contest and display

The photography project will culminate in an exhibition path that gives voice and merit to the students' talent:

• Editing and Storytelling: In the week following the event, students will select their best shots and write narrative captions.
• Artistic Installation: The photographs will be printed to create a large collective installation, testifying to the "circular generation's" perspective on the territory.
• The Main Event and the Press Room Vote: The exhibition will be officially inaugurated during Eroica Montalcino (May 29-31, 2026). In this international showcase, something special will happen: the works will be voted on by the event's official Press Room. Italian and international journalists will select the three best photos by the "little Eroic photographers," rewarding the children's ability to capture the essence of sustainability and cycling.

This initiative transforms students from spectators into active communicators. Through the judgment of media professionals in Montalcino, the work of the Buonconvento students will receive high-value recognition, proving that modern cycling is a universal language capable of inspiring everyone.
