On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, NOVA Eroica Buonconvento dedicates a significant space to the promising young talents of the cycling world. Youth cycling welcomes male and female athletes between the ages of 7 and 16, representing the vital nursery for the sport.

Categories and growth path

According to the Italian Cycling Federation, the path is structured to gradually guide young riders toward professionalism:

• Non-Competitive Sector: Includes the Giovanissimi category, where the emphasis is placed on fun and technical skill.
• Competitive Sector: Includes the Esordienti (Debutants) and Allievi (Cadets) categories.
• International Step: The journey continues with the international categories: Juniores, Under 23, and Elite.

Philosophy and regulations

The educational approach is focused on fun, technical ability, and a gradual approach to competition. The events include skill tests, road, track, and off-road racing. A high priority is placed on the health of the participants; therefore, limited gear ratios are used to safeguard the physical development of the athletes.

Giovanissimi program || Saturday, April 11

The heart of the youth activities will take place in Piazza Gramsci according to the following schedule:

• 2:00 PM: Opening of the EROICA GIOVANISSIMI Secretariat.
• 2:15 PM: License verification and accreditation.
• 3:00 PM: Technical Meeting and Security Briefing.
• 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM: Official team presentation on stage.
• 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Course closure.
• 4:30 PM: Start of the 13th Giovanissimi Trophy.
• 6:30 PM: Awards ceremony and official protocol.
• To follow: A snack will be offered to all participants at the end of the ceremony.
