Key Rules

  • This event is a cycling event held on public roads and other normal traffic environments.
  • As a general rule, the organizer does not close roads or implement traffic restrictions.
  • Participants ride at their own responsibility and must decide their own route choice, continuation, or withdrawal.
  • Helmet use is mandatory.
  • Bicycle insurance is mandatory.
  • This is not a race for placing or time.

Q. What is My Eroica?
A. My Eroica is the membership registration system required for entry. After registration, please select your desired ride and complete your entry. More details here 👉 My Eroica

Q. Can I cancel or change my entry details?
A. Entries cannot be cancelled after registration. Participant substitutions or certain changes may be accepted under specific conditions. Please check the event page and the E-check page for details.

Q. Where does check-in take place?
A. Check-in will take place at the Headquarters inside Isozaki Onsen Hotel New Hakuaki. Please come during the designated check-in hours to complete document verification and collect your race kit. Check-in is possible during the designated hours, but the organizer assumes no responsibility if you are late for your ride due to congestion. Early check-in is strongly recommended.

Q. What is E-check?
A. E-check is the online check-in system that opens on July 1. You can register required information and confirm important items before participation. Please check the E-check page for details.

Q. How long will on-site check-in take if I have not completed E-check?
A. The exact time is unknown, but congestion is expected. The organizer assumes no responsibility if you are late for your ride due to check-in congestion. We strongly recommend using E-check, which allows you to collect your race kit through a simpler procedure.

Q. What is bike inspection? What happens if I forget my bike inspection sheet?
A. Bike inspection is a pre-check to confirm that your bicycle is in a safe condition to ride. Participants who have completed E-check do not need to bring the inspection sheet. If you have not completed E-check and you forget your inspection sheet, or if you do not have one, you must ask the official mechanic at the venue to inspect your bicycle and issue the inspection sheet. The inspection fee is 4,400 yen.(Consumable parts are not included.)

Q. Can I participate without bicycle insurance? Can I show proof of bicycle insurance on my phone screen?
A. Participants without bicycle insurance cannot participate. Valid bicycle insurance including personal liability coverage is mandatory. Proof of bicycle insurance may be shown on a phone screen. Please check the E-check page for how to confirm insurance and required documents.

Q. What types of bicycles are eligible for the REYNOLDS Ride on October 31?
A. All bicycles that comply with the Road Traffic Act are eligible for the REYNOLDS Ride. Modern disc road bikes and e-bikes are also permitted.

Q. What types of bicycles are eligible for Eroica Japan(Eroica Classic Ride)on November 1?
A. Eligible bicycles are bicycles that meet the criteria of Article 15 of the Regulations, with mechanisms such as down-tube shifters and toe-clip pedals developed by 1987.

Q. What should I do in case of a fall, injury, accident or illness?
A. First secure safety. First contact public emergency services if necessary.
If there is an injured person or medical emergency, call 119 for ambulance or fire services.
If it is a traffic accident, theft, violence or any possible incident, call 110 for police assistance.
Please follow the instructions of public authorities.

Q. What happens in case of rain, severe weather, thunderstorm advisories or warnings?
A. As a general rule, rides will be held even in rain. However, if there are safety concerns, earthquakes, disasters, lightning, warnings or any other safety issues, the event may be cancelled, suspended or changed.

Q. What should I do about accommodation?
A. Eroica Japan has partnered with Isozaki Onsen Hotel New Hakuaki as the official hotel.

Q. Can I stay overnight in my vehicle? Can I reserve a parking space?
A. Overnight stay in vehicles is permitted in the designated area at the venue. Parking spaces cannot be reserved.

Q. Is camping possible? Is advance application required?
A. Ride participants may use the camping area, with a maximum of 20 tents.

Q. Will the eve party be held?
A. CIAO EROICA(the eve party)will be held at the banquet hall of the official hotel.
