Any person participating in the Event shall hereinafter be referred to as a “Participant”. The official portal site published by the Organizer in relation to the Event shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Official Website”. Article 2 (Definition of Cycling Event, Participant Responsibility and Disclaimer)
The Event is a cycling event held on public roads and in other ordinary traffic environments, and as a general rule, the Organizer does not close routes or implement any other traffic restrictions.
Participants shall participate in the Event, choose their riding route, continue or discontinue riding, and take all other actions at their own judgment and responsibility.
Routes, guidance, directions, information, the establishment and operation of AS, and any other operational measures announced by the Organizer do not guarantee the safety of Participants and do not replace or reduce the Participants’ own responsibility.
The Organizer shall not be liable for any accident, contact, fall, injury, illness, theft, damage, traffic obstruction or any other loss or damage arising during riding or in connection with participation in the Event, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Organizer.
The provisions of the preceding paragraphs shall take precedence over all other provisions of these Rules.
Article 3 (Safety Management and Emergency Response)
Emergency response for Participants during the Event shall be based on the existing public emergency response system provided by public authorities, and the Organizer shall not establish any special emergency transport system exclusively for the Event. Emergency transport shall be carried out by public authorities.
Prior to the Event, the Organizer shall report the outline of the Event and other necessary matters to the fire department and police authorities having jurisdiction over the Event area.
During the Event period, the Organizer shall establish a Safety Management Team to respond to accidents, falls, injuries, illnesses and other incidents. With respect to such incidents, the Safety Management Team shall perform the following duties: (1) Receiving accident information and monitoring the response status (2) Confirming and investigating the facts, including interviews with relevant persons (3) Preparing and managing records (4) Confirming the status toward resolution of the incident (5) Preparing accident reports and, where necessary, reporting to relevant authorities (6) Analyzing the causes of accidents and considering measures to prevent recurrence (7) Making recommendations to the Organizer for improvement of safety measures
If the Organizer deems it necessary for safety or Event operation, the Organizer may restrict, suspend or take any other necessary measures with respect to a Participant’s participation.
A cycling event that starts and finishes at the Venue shall hereinafter be referred to as a “Ride”.
The Rides to be held in the Event shall be as follows.
(1) REYNOLDS Ride, held on October 31, 2026
Eligible bicycles: All types of bicycles that comply with the Road Traffic Act of Japan, including modern models and electric bicycles.

(2) Eroica Classic Ride, held on November 1, 2026
Eligible bicycles: Bici Eroica bicycles that use mechanisms developed and established by 1987 and comply with the Road Traffic Act of Japan. Detailed criteria are set forth in Article 15.

Routes, meeting times, briefings, AS, CP and other operational details of each Ride shall be announced on the Official Website.
The final AS for this Event shall be Shimoichi 531 AS (Mito City).
The programs held at the Venue during the Event period shall be referred to as the Eroica Festival. Each program held within the Eroica Festival shall hereinafter be referred to as an “Event Program”.
The Event Programs held during the Event period shall be as follows: (1) Eroica Cycle Exhibition (2) Eroica Marche (3) Concorso di Eleganza (4) Eroica Japan Eve Party “CIAO EROICA”
The outline of each Event Program shall be announced on the Official Website.
Ride Participants may use, free of charge, the parking area for Ride Participants provided within the Venue for 100 standard passenger cars, only during the period from 08:00 on October 30, 2026 to 20:00 on November 2, 2026. While using such parking area, users must display on the dashboard or in a similar visible location the parking permit that can be printed from the Official Website. Reservation of parking spaces or holding spaces after temporary removal of vehicles is not permitted. Once the parking area is full, it cannot be used.
The Organizer shall not provide any parking area for Ride Participants or general visitors other than the above parking area. Ride Participants who cannot park in the above area, and all general visitors, shall use nearby paid parking areas or other parking facilities at their own responsibility.
With respect to the parking areas of nearby facilities, including Sakatsura Isozaki Shrine and Hotel New Hakuaki, parking of vehicles by Ride Participants or general visitors who do not have permission based on legitimate use of such facilities is strictly prohibited. During the Event period, any violation shall be deemed unauthorized use, and the Organizer may request movement of the vehicle, notify relevant authorities or take other measures, and may charge the violator a penalty of JPY 33,000 per day.
Ride Participants may sleep in their cars or stay in tents within areas designated by the Organizer within the Venue free of charge.
Ride Participants who wish to stay in tents may use the campsite designated by the Organizer. The number of persons who may use the campsite is limited, and the maximum number of persons who may stay shall be announced on the Official Website. A representative of Ride Participants wishing to stay in tents must apply to the Organizer through Official LINE no later than seven days before the date of stay. Acceptance of campsite applications shall close once capacity is reached.
Any person using fire within the Venue must appoint one fire prevention manager, secure safety management and a fire-extinguishing system, and report the use of fire to the Organizer in advance through Official LINE. Open fires are prohibited.
Drinking alcohol within the Venue is permitted. However, Participants must not engage in any act that causes nuisance to other Participants or nearby residents, or that interferes with safe Event operation. If the Organizer discovers a Ride Participant driving or riding under the influence of alcohol, whether inside or outside the Venue and whether by automobile or bicycle, the Organizer may immediately terminate such Participant’s participation in the Event.
The Organizer shall not conduct vehicle guidance, provide vehicle directions, or manage vehicles within the Venue. Vehicles using the Venue must, at their own responsibility, give due consideration to pedestrian safety and move and park safely, including by driving slowly.
Within the Venue, noise-making acts, dangerous acts, acts contrary to public order and morals, and any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Organizer are prohibited.
Participants shall dispose of any garbage generated within the Venue at their own responsibility and shall restore the place used and its surrounding area to its original condition.
Participants shall handle, at their own responsibility and expense, any accident, theft, loss, damage, injury, dispute with any third party, or any other loss or damage arising in connection with use of the Venue, including parking, lodging, use of fire, drinking alcohol and all other acts.
The Organizer shall not be liable in any way for the losses or damages set forth in the preceding paragraph, regardless of the cause thereof.
In the event of a violation of this Article, the Organizer may order the relevant Participant to leave the Venue and may refuse participation in future events.
An application to participate in the Event shall hereinafter be referred to as an “Entry”.
The Entry period, Entry method and method of payment of the participation fee shall be announced on the Official Website.
Participants shall register with MY EROICA in accordance with the method designated by the Organizer, select the Ride they wish to participate in, and complete their Entry.
When a Participant applies to participate in the Event by the method designated on the Official Website and completes the prescribed payment, a contract for participation in the Event shall be formed between the Organizer and the Participant. In such case, the Participant shall be deemed to have understood and accepted these Rules.
The Entry fee shall include the items set forth in the following items: (1) All Participants Bicycle number plate, jersey number, stamp card, insurance, and food and drink at AS. (2) Eroica Classic Ride Participants In addition to the preceding item, Event commemorative item and finisher award.
The bicycle number plate, jersey number and stamp card referred to in the preceding paragraph shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Race Kit”.
Participants must complete Check-in at the check-in counter within the Venue during the prescribed time within the Event period.
Documents required to be presented at Check-in are set forth in Article 12.
During the Ride, Participants must attach the bicycle number plate and jersey number to the locations designated by the Organizer in a manner clearly visible to third parties.
The number unique to each Participant displayed on the bicycle number plate and jersey number referred to in the preceding paragraph shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Bib Number”.
The Bib Number is unique to each Participant, and Participants must not copy, exchange or transfer it.
The Organizer shall not notify Bib Numbers in advance. The Organizer shall not respond to inquiries regarding Bib Numbers.
Participants may complete E-check in advance by the method designated by the Organizer.
E-check is conducted for the purpose of streamlining Check-in procedures and shortening the time required for procedures at the Venue.
Participants who have completed E-check may receive a simplified procedure designated separately by the Organizer with respect to presentation of the required documents set forth in Article 12, Paragraph 5 at Check-in.
The method, acceptance period and details of E-check shall be announced on the Official Website.
Even if E-check has been completed, Participants must complete Check-in on site and receive the Race Kit.
If the Organizer determines that it is necessary for safety or Event operation, the Organizer may request additional confirmation or presentation of documents even from Participants who have completed E-check.
Check-in times for the REYNOLDS Ride shall be as follows: October 30, 2026 13:00–20:00 October 31, 2026 04:00–09:30
Check-in times for the Eroica Classic Ride shall be as follows: October 30, 2026 13:00–20:00 October 31, 2026 04:00–20:00 November 1, 2026 02:00–09:30
An application to participate in both the REYNOLDS Ride and the Eroica Classic Ride shall hereinafter be referred to as “Combined Participation”.
Participants with Combined Participation may complete Check-in during any of the Check-in times set forth in Paragraph 1 or Paragraph 2.
Information concerning the Event shall be updated from time to time on the Official Website, and the information on the Official Website shall prevail.
Article 12 (Required Documents, Bicycle Inspection and Insurance)
Prior to participating in the Event, Participants must, at their own responsibility, confirm the safety of the bicycle used for participation (hereinafter referred to as “Bicycle Inspection”).
The Bicycle Inspection set forth in the preceding paragraph shall be conducted by a nearby bicycle shop, any person equivalent thereto, or by the Participant himself or herself, and a Bicycle Safety Check Sheet (hereinafter referred to as the “Inspection Sheet”) stating the result of the Bicycle Inspection must be prepared.
The Inspection Sheet shall be prepared in accordance with the form designated by the Organizer, and such form shall be announced on the Official Website.
The Inspection Sheet shall be announced on the Official Website on or after July 1, 2026.
Participants must be covered by valid bicycle insurance for the Event, including personal liability insurance.
The policy number, membership number or other equivalent information relating to such insurance shall hereinafter be referred to as “Bicycle Insurance Certificate, etc.”
At Check-in, Participants must present the Inspection Sheet and Bicycle Insurance Certificate, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Required Documents”). However, Participants who have completed E-check shall follow the method set forth in Article 10, Paragraph 3.
The handling of the Required Documents shall be as follows: (1) When completing E-check Participants shall prepare the Inspection Sheet and send the required information in advance by the method designated by the Organizer. During the Event period, Participants must carry the relevant documents. (2) When not completing E-check Participants must present the Inspection Sheet and Bicycle Insurance Certificate, etc. at Check-in. (3) When the Inspection Sheet has not been prepared During the Check-in period, Participants may request the designated mechanic within the Venue to conduct a Bicycle Inspection and prepare the Inspection Sheet by paying a fee of JPY 4,400. Participants must prepare their Bicycle Insurance Certificate, etc. by themselves.
The Organizer shall not sell or broker bicycle insurance.
The Organizer may request presentation of identification at Check-in when necessary.
The Event respects, as the Eroica spirit, the act of Participants overcoming difficulties by their own efforts and completing the Ride they have chosen themselves.
Ride Participants must understand and respect the spirit set forth in the preceding paragraph.
Ride Participants must satisfy the following requirements: (1) Have the physical ability and experience to safely complete the selected Ride. (2) Carry appropriate equipment that enables them to complete the Ride in a self-sufficient manner, and be able to deal with punctures and other major mechanical problems at their own responsibility. (3) Comply with laws and the Road Traffic Act, and follow the instructions of operation staff. (4) Wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. (5) Not compete for placing or time. (6) Ride safely and give due consideration to other traffic. (7) Be 12 years of age or older. Junior high school students must be accompanied by a guardian or chaperone. (8) Be covered by bicycle insurance, including personal liability insurance.
Routes, meeting times, briefings, AS, CP and other operational details shall be announced on the Official Website or by any other method designated by the Organizer.
If, due to poor physical condition or any other unavoidable circumstances, a Participant reports to the HQ before the start of the Ride, the Participant may change the Ride only in the direction of shortening the distance. However, changing the Ride date or changing to a longer distance is not permitted. Examples: (1) Changing from REYNOLDS 150 to REYNOLDS 100 is permitted. (2) Changing from KAKUSAN 50 to SUKESAN 100 is not permitted. (3) Changing from the REYNOLDS Ride to the Eroica Classic Ride is not permitted.
If a Ride change is made pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Organizer shall not be liable for any disadvantage suffered by the relevant Participant in relation to food, finisher awards or any other distribution.
If, after the start of the Ride, a Participant changes the Ride due to any circumstances, such Participant shall be treated as retired.
A Participant who is late for the start time shall not be permitted to start.
The Organizer shall conduct briefings at the Venue to explain the details of each Ride and points to note while riding. The schedule of such briefings shall be posted on the Official Website.
Article 14 (Response to Accidents and Troubles, and Compensation for Accidents)
If a fall, mechanical trouble, accident or any other trouble occurs during a Ride, or if a Participant witnesses any of these, the Participant shall give first priority to securing the safety of himself or herself, injured persons and other persons involved. If there is an injured person, or if injury is suspected, the Participant shall call 119 without hesitation. If a traffic accident or an incident suspected to involve criminal or other unlawful conduct occurs, or if a Participant witnesses such an incident, the Participant shall promptly call 110.
The basic order of contact in the event of an accident shall be as follows: (1) Call 119 (ambulance/fire department) / 110 (police) (2) If possible, contact the nearest AS staff (3) If AS staff are not present, contact the HQ via Official LINE or telephone Telephone: 080-4100-0202 ※Available only during the Event period Official LINE: https://page.line.me/522tifwe ※The call set forth in (1) shall take first priority, and (2) and (3) shall be carried out only to the extent safety has been secured.
If a Participant causes damage to a third party, the Participant shall respond sincerely at his or her own responsibility and expense, and shall conduct any necessary discussions, settlement negotiations or other resolution procedures between the parties concerned. The Organizer shall not act on behalf of any party in settlement negotiations, insurance claims or any other dispute resolution procedure.
If an accident or any incident equivalent thereto occurs, the Participant shall take necessary measures and report the matter to the Organizer.
If settlement negotiations or any other resolution procedure is significantly delayed, or if the conduct of the parties concerned is deemed insincere, the Organizer may, based on the need for safety or Event operation, provisionally suspend the relevant Participant’s eligibility to participate or take any other necessary measures.
Bicycles eligible to participate in the Eroica Classic Ride shall be Bici Eroica bicycles, and the detailed criteria shall be as follows.
Type of bicycle A bicycle with a threaded-type stem that complies with the Road Traffic Act, regardless of bicycle type, country of origin, year or material. Example: If the mechanical requirements in Paragraph 3 are satisfied, a modern Colnago Master, MTB, junior sports bicycle or utility bicycle may participate. Example: Carbon TVT and aluminum ALAN bicycles may participate.
Main mechanisms such as derailleurs and brakes Mechanisms developed by 1987 must be used. Example: STI levers and Ergopower levers may not be used. Example: Aero-style bicycles seen in Shimano AX or Campagnolo C-Record may participate. Example: A junior sports bicycle with disc brakes sold in 1974 may participate. Example: A bicycle using a modern Dia-Compe indexed down-tube shifter to operate a slant parallelogram rear derailleur may participate.
Pedals Pedals using toe clips and toe straps must be used. However, Cinelli M71 pedals developed before 1987 may be used. Example: Modern LOOK clipless pedals may not be used. Example: Modern MKS flat pedals may be used.
Wheels Both clincher and tubular wheels may be used, and there are no restrictions on size, number of spokes, hand-built wheels, factory-built wheels or other wheel specifications. However, carbon rim materials may not be used. Example: A 24-inch, 20-hole wheel built with a modern ARAYA aluminum clincher rim may be used.
Number of sprocket speeds: There is no restriction on the number of sprocket speeds. Example: A bicycle using a Campagnolo 10-speed sprocket operated by a down-tube shifter may participate.
In each Ride, a Participant who obtains stamps at all CP designated by the Organizer and reaches the finish while satisfying the conditions set forth in Paragraph 5 shall be deemed to have completed the Ride.
Eroica Classic Ride finishers shall be awarded a finisher award as Eroica Riders.
Routes announced for each Ride are provided as references for riding, and even if a Participant deviates from the route, the Participant shall be deemed to have completed the Ride if the requirements set forth in Paragraph 1 are satisfied.
No cut-off time based on finish time shall be set. However, if a Participant who has not obtained the CP stamp at the final AS by the passage deadline for the final AS (Shimoichi 531 AS, Mito City) set forth in each item of Article 4, Paragraph 2 subsequently reaches the finish, no finisher award shall be granted.
No completion certificate or other certificate shall be issued.
The Organizer shall transport Retired Participants who wish to be picked up from each AS to the Venue by vehicle. This service shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Retired Participant Pick-up Service”.
The Retired Participant Pick-up Service shall be carried out by the route closing vehicle operated by the Organizer.
The route closing vehicle shall follow the rear of each Ride, but shall not provide individual pick-up of Participants or support for Participants’ troubles.
The Retired Participant Pick-up Service shall be provided at each AS, and individual pick-up of Participants or pick-up at locations other than AS shall not be provided.
Retired Participants who wish to be picked up must reach an AS by themselves.
With respect to route closure and the Retired Participant Pick-up Service, decisions necessary for operation, including pick-up order and whether bicycles can be loaded, shall be made by the Organizer or the driver of the route closing vehicle. Requests by persons to be picked up shall not be accepted.
Operations at each AS, except for the final AS, shall close when the route closing vehicle arrives.
When each route closing vehicle returns to the Venue, the ordinary pick-up service for the relevant Ride shall end.
Any Participant who falls under any of the following items shall be disqualified, and the Organizer may refuse such Participant’s participation in subsequent Events: (1) A person who has forged, falsely claimed or otherwise improperly obtained a CP stamp (2) A person who has used another person’s number plate or a copied number plate (3) A person who has committed a criminal act, unlawful act or act contrary to public order and morals during the Event period
Article 20 (Cancellation, Suspension, Modification and Notification of the Event)
If an earthquake, disaster, terrorism, war or any other event that may endanger Participants occurs or is likely to occur, the Organizer may cancel, suspend or modify all or part of the Event.
Rides shall, in principle, be held in rainy weather. However, if the Organizer determines at a separately designated reference time, based on information from the Japan Meteorological Agency or other reliable weather information, that there is a safety concern due to a forecast of rain, issuance of a thunderstorm advisory, any other advisory or warning, or any other safety concern, the Organizer may cancel or modify the relevant Ride.
If a thunderstorm advisory or any warning is issued for the Event area, the Organizer may immediately cancel the Event.
Decisions and changes based on the preceding paragraphs shall be notified by Official LINE, official email or any other method deemed appropriate by the Organizer.
Article 21 (Refunds, Participant Substitution and Cancellation)
After the Event participation contract has been formed, no refund shall be made under any circumstances.
Race Kits shall not be sent to persons who do not participate.
A Participant may substitute another participant, within the scope of equivalent conditions regarding the participation route and other services, only if the Participant notifies the Organizer at least 30 days before the Event.
If a Participant becomes unable to participate in the Event due to injury, illness or other reasons, and if the Participant notifies the Organizer at least 30 days before the Event and the Organizer approves it, the Participant may, by paying a cancellation handling fee of JPY 3,000, carry over the Ride participation fee to the following year’s general Ride participation fee on one occasion only.
Even in the case of the preceding paragraph, any fees already paid for other services shall not be subject to carryover.
The Organizer may request the presentation of a medical certificate or other materials when necessary.
If the Organizer decides not to hold an equivalent Ride in the following year, the carryover right under the preceding paragraphs shall expire.
Article 22 (Handling of Content, Copyright, Portrait Rights, etc.)
Texts, images, audio, videos, data and all other materials photographed, recorded, produced, posted, submitted or shared in connection with the Event shall hereinafter be referred to as “Content”.
By applying to participate in the Event, Participants shall be deemed to have consented to the Organizer and third parties approved by the Organizer using the Content free of charge without limitation as to period, territory, medium or purpose.
The Organizer and third parties approved by the Organizer may use the Content by reproduction, processing, editing, modification, adaptation, distribution, public transmission, screening, exhibition, dissemination, sale, secondary use, sublicensing to third parties or by any other method.
Copyright and all other rights relating to Content created by the Organizer in the Event, or created under commission from the Organizer, and products using such Content, shall belong to the Organizer.
Participants shall not exercise portrait rights, publicity rights or any other rights with respect to the use set forth in the preceding paragraphs, and shall not exercise moral rights of authors with respect to Content in which they hold rights.
No person may commercially use Content or create Content for commercial purposes without the prior permission of the Organizer.
The Organizer recognizes the importance of personal information and shall handle personal information appropriately in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations.
The Organizer shall use personal information obtained through participation applications, E-check and various procedures within the scope of the following purposes: ・Event operation (reception, identity verification, communication, record management) ・Safety management (insurance confirmation, emergency response, coordination with medical institutions) ・Guidance, communication and provision of information concerning the Event ・Preparation of statistical materials in a form that does not identify individuals ・Improvement of services by the Organizer and related organizations
The Organizer may provide personal information to contractors, administrative authorities, medical institutions, insurance companies and others to the extent necessary for Event operation.
Due to the nature of the Event as an international event, the Organizer may provide personal information to related organizations located in foreign countries, including Eroica headquarters, only when necessary for operation.
Except as required by laws and regulations, the Organizer shall not provide personal information to any third party without the consent of the person concerned.
The Organizer shall take reasonable and appropriate safety management measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of personal information.
The Organizer shall retain obtained personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and thereafter shall appropriately delete or anonymize it.
Participants may request disclosure, correction or deletion of their own personal information.
Article 25 (Amendment of these Rules and Changes to Event Operations, etc.)
If the Organizer deems it necessary due to changes in social conditions, enactment or amendment of laws and regulations, instructions from administrative authorities (including police, fire departments, local governments and other relevant authorities), weather conditions, disasters, accidents, traffic conditions, or for the purpose of ensuring safety or smooth operation of the Event, the Organizer may amend these Rules and change all matters relating to the Event, including the date and time, Venue, routes, distances, start times, time limits, AS, CP, Event Programs and any other matters equivalent thereto.
Changes under the preceding paragraph shall be notified by a method deemed appropriate by the Organizer, including the Official Website, Official LINE, official social media or any other method, and shall become effective upon such notification.
The Organizer shall not be liable for any disadvantage, damage or additional cost incurred by Participants as a result of changes under Paragraph 1.
By participating in the Event, Participants shall be deemed to have agreed to the changes and their consequences set forth in this Article.
