The heritage of Eroica is composed of a mosaic of 17 wonderful municipalities that, in the heart of Tuscany, provide the backdrop for the shared passion of thousands of heroic cyclists. For the tenth edition of Eroica Montalcino, this bond with the land is reaffirmed through an act of collective responsibility.

Human heritage as a driver for protection

The “Adotta un Chilometro” (Adopt a Kilometer) project places the human heritage of this geography at its center. Citizens, cyclists, and local associations from the traversed municipalities become the true guardians of beauty:

• Ownership: Local communities take direct charge of the kilometers passing through their respective municipalities, caring for them as a precious asset.
• Concrete action: Volunteers clean the roadsides, removing waste and preserving the integrity of the route.
• Civic example: This initiative transforms every participant into a protagonist of environmental respect and protection, proving that true modernity lies in the care of the past.

Saturday, May 30th: Plogging toward Podere Casisano

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, our environmental commitment becomes even more tangible. On Saturday, May 30th, at 3:30 PM, a special plogging activity (picking up litter while walking or running) will be held, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security. The action will take place along the final kilometer leading to the evocative Podere Casisano, actively involving guests to reiterate that defending the territory is a shared duty.
