L’Eroica is a historic cycling event dedicated to cyclists wearing period or historically inspired clothing, riding HEROIC BICYCLES or MODERN BICYCLES IN VINTAGE STYLE.

Eroica Italia S.S.D. has a Ciclofficina bike shop with Heroic Bicycles, i.e. pre-1980s bikes registered on the Heroic Bicycle Register. All bicycles comply with the rules of the L’Eroica and Eroica Montalcino events, better described in ART. 6 of the event Rules & Regulations

ART.1 - DATE AND LOCATION

The Ciclofficina Eroica bike shop will operate in Gaiole in Chianti, Siena

• Friday 2 October 2026, 09:00 AM – 07:00 PM
• Saturday 3 October 2026, 04:30 AM – 09:00 PM
• Sunday 4 October 2026, 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM

ART.2 - RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Bicycle rental is subject to signing the regulation on the form that can be downloaded at the following LINK after receiving the payment receipt as indicated by the ART. 4 and filling out the online form.

The signed agreement must be deposited with the Ciclofficina Eroica bike shop on collection of the bike.

ART. 3 - HIRE COSTS

Bicycle hire costs €120,00 and includes:

• Bicycle
• Bicycle set up
• Bike wash upon return of bike

ART. 4 - RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

Bicycles can be reserved only on-line by compiling the form on the website.

The reservation is concluded upon receipt of credit card payment on-line, once the availability of the bicycle has been confirmed.

ART. 5 - RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE TO THE BICYCLE

Eroica declines all responsibility for damage resulting from improper use or accidents that occur during the use of the vehicle including those due to any malfunctions attributable to the natural fragility of a vintage bicycle.

ART. 6 - DEPOSIT AND REPAIR KIT

The participant is responsible for the rented bicycle for the entire duration of the rental. At the time of rental, the participant must guarantee by credit card. The deposit also entitles the participant to the provision of a repair kit (consisting of an inner tube or tubular, and repair equipment).

ART. 7 - CANCELLATION 

If an entrant is unable to participate in L’Eroica, the hire fee cannot be refunded. The intention to cancel may be communicated by 30 August 2025 by sending an email to: rent@eroica.cc.

The Organisation reserves the right to judge whether the requests received are prompted by an “objective impossibility to participate due to injury”, as documented by medical records. For cases accepted by the Organisation, the hire fee will be considered valid for the same event in 2026.

The reservation considered valid for the following year is strictly personal and cannot be transferred to a third party. Should the cyclist fail to participate again, the hire fee will be forfeited.

ART. 8 - COMPLAINTS

Any complaints must be sent to the Organisation by email - rent@eroica.cc - within 10 days of the event.

ART. 10 - CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT

If, for reasons of force majeure, the event does not take place, the hire fee will not be reimbursed but it will be considered valid for the following edition, as will the registration fee for the event itself.
