In 2026, NOVA Eroica Buonconvento reaches the prestigious milestone of its tenth edition. What began as a bold challenge is now the beating heart of a global movement celebrating cutting-edge gravel and road cycling. However, the Eroica experience in Buonconvento does not end with the event weekend: thanks to the Terra Eroica project, the region of the Crete Senesi and Val d’Orcia becomes an open-air museum accessible 365 days a year.
Nearly thirty years ago in Gaiole in Chianti, the idea of returning cycling to its roots was born. Today, that majestic tree has evolved into three world-class pillars: L'Eroica, Eroica Montalcino, and NOVA Eroica. The latter, now in its tenth year, represents the perfect synthesis of the Eroica ethic and the technical innovation of modern gravel and racing bikes.
Those who choose to tackle the Epic Route or the competitive courses of NOVA Eroica Buonconvento immerse themselves in a landscape that alternates between the ruggedness of clay hills and the sweetness of vineyards, cycling from dawn to dusk in what has become the "randonnée" par excellence of contemporary cycling.
The Terra Eroica project pays tribute to continuity. The two permanent routes (the Long Route of L’Eroica and the Eroica Montalcino route) offer a total experience of 290 kilometers, fully signposted and ready to be explored in every season.
To celebrate the tenth edition, the Terra Eroica team will be at your disposal for technical advice and personalized routes at the stand located at La Bici del Popolo.
