L’Eroica is a bridge built toward the younger generations. On the occasion of the 29th edition of L’Eroica, students from Gaiole in Chianti Middle School will take center stage in a rich program of activities resulting from an interdisciplinary project launched back in September.
The school project took shape around the publication “The 40 Words of Sustainable Mobility”, created for the 40th anniversary of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, with the invaluable collaboration of the Siena Biodiversity Carabinieri and the Siena Traffic Police Command.

Special lesson with Giancarlo Brocci
Students will take part in a unique meeting with the founder of L’Eroica and publicly present the sustainability and local heritage projects developed over the preceding weeks. During the event, the Siena Traffic Police Command will also lead a workshop on "Safety", one of the 40 keywords featured in the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security's publication.

Students at the 29th Edition Opening Ceremony
Students will stand alongside Giancarlo Brocci, Franco Rossi, the Mayor of Gaiole in Chianti, and the Siena Biodiversity Carabinieri to officially kick off the Festival.

A tree for biodiversity
At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the students, together with the Siena Biodiversity Carabinieri, will participate directly in planting a tree—a symbolic and tangible action dedicated to protecting the environment and Chianti’s natural heritage.
Friday, October 2 – From 3:00 PM
Mini Eroica and Giocociclismo
Students will be actively involved in sports and recreational activities designed for younger participants right in the heart of the Village.
Saturday, October 3 & Sunday, October 4
Welcoming the Eroici
During the race days, the students will embody the warm spirit of local hospitality, welcoming cyclists as they cross the finish line in Gaiole and sharing in the excitement and achievement of every participant.
